Megan is a nurse practitioner, healthcare leader, and lifelong advocate for equity—both in policy and in practice. Originally from Kansas and now rooted in New England, she brings Midwestern grit and East Coast tenacity to her work. With a doctorate in Healthcare Leadership, Systems, and Policy from Yale and over two decades of experience in clinical care and public health, Megan blends deep expertise with a personal commitment to justice.

She’s the daughter of an adopted immigrant and the proud mother of a child with a disability—experiences that shape her fierce belief in inclusion, access, and the power of community. Through the Severin Health Foundation, Megan is building programs that uplift nursing, reimagine health education, and center the voices of those too often left out of the conversation.

When she’s not writing curriculum or advocating for systemic change, you’ll find her curled up with a good book, rescuing animals, or exploring new corners of the world with her family. Her work is driven by love, lived experience, and a relentless hope that healthcare can—and must—do better.
